She lied

I just spent the weekend with my parents, and it was so much fun to see them and spend time with them. But being around my mom made me remember all of the lies she told me as a child.

1. Eating anywhere in the bathroom will give you Heptitis B.
2. When I found out about all the staring children in Africa, I asked my mom every single night to mail any left overs to Africa. She told me she would.
3. Eating chicken will make your boobs bigger.
4. If you don't drink after 6pm you wont pee in the bed.
5. If you keep making ugly faces your face will freeze like that.
6. That she had eyes in the back of her head. I knew she was lying, but somehow she always knew what I was doing.

Despite her many many fibs, she was and is a pretty fabulous mom.
Did you parents ever tell you any lies?

really, I have never heard of some of those. they are kinda funny. i don't remember any big lies. i am sure there were some though.

p.s. - thanks for your comment about posting so many pictures of me. i hope it doesn't seem over the top. just one day - i might bring my blog and it would be sad if there were no pics of me.

MY Mum had eyes in the back of her head, too! I think we all do ;) My Mum also told me she had spies everywhere, just to ensure I behaved myself out of the house, too. Sure enough the day I was 13 and on the back of a boy's motorbike, we drove down the road and there was one of Mum's friends. She never did tell Mum though :)

Omg. My grandma always told me lies hahaha. But I guess they worked.

She said if I whistled at night, snakes would come.

If I slept with my hair wet I'd wake up blind.

When I was a toddler she said the ghost in the backyard took my bottles and if I didn't eat my vegetables she would come back. I was scared of this so called ghost lady for a long time!

I'm guilty of lying to my kids. When they were little we told them their tongue turned black when they lied. It worked so good. But then they would look in the mirror when they got older and we had to lie and say that only parents can see the black. That bought us more time. Now we're just screwed!!
