Am I?

We are now settled into our new place!! Pics to come I promise.
One thing I realized is, I might be a tad bit OCD. Well, maybe not offically, maybe just anal?
Let's see--you tell me.

Do I get frustrated if one package is opened before another is finished? Check.
Example: There are currently 3 tubes of toothpaste opened in our bathroom. That drives me insane. You should only open a tube of toothpaste when the one you were using before is completly empty.

Does it drive me nuts that there are 2 packages of chicken stock opened and not empty in the fridge? Check

Do I have an issue with the fact that during moving, you have to move from one project to another before one is completed? Check

I could go on and on and on. One thing I learned during this moving process, I am ANAL in a bad way. Check and mate.

What about yall?

It's over

It ends today. The long distance six months is over. We finished, we made it, and now we are done. P is flying in to town today and we are picking up the moving truck this afternoon. We are going to load our storage unit today, and then load the boxes from our apartment. We will stay here one more night, then get up tomorrow and start the move. We are stopping off at the in-laws house to drop off some things and spend the night, then we will be moving into our new place on Saturday. We have some friends coming over to help us today and then on Saturday so it should go pretty quickly. We don't have a ton of stuff, and I am hoping and praying that P will be open to the idea of going through all of our stuff and getting rid of some (many) things!

Runners Envy

Running the last few months has been really hard. I have gone out on runs, but the entire time it was a mental battle, I simply was not into it. I would run because I needed exercise, but mentally I was counting down the seconds until I could stop.
For some reason, I have had no desire to run since the last marathon I did back in November. Running had lost its place for me, and I was not sure what to make of that. I have always run, and I have always enjoyed it for the most part. It was perplexing to me for a long time.
However, something changed in me last week. I have had a lot to do in the afternoons and I knew that there were some days I was not going to get a chance to work out. As I was driving home from work the other afternoon I saw some people out running, and I became really envious. I was jealous that they were out running and I was not! It stirred something in me to go out and run. So I did. I didn't have much time before dark (and living by myself, I try not to go out past dark) so I ran a quick 2 miles and it felt awesome.
Yesterday I got up early and ran for an hour, and I enjoyed every second of it!!
It is like rediscovering an old friend that I have been missing for a really long time.

The Best Show on T.V.

The Real Housewives of Uvalde, TX? Nope

Pregnant at 85? Nope

Surviving on this random island? Nope

BEST SHOW ON T.V. Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution

Want to see a grown man dressed as a tomato talking to parents dropping off their kids at school? Watch this show.

Want to see a grown man passionate about food, and feeding kids well? Watch this show.

Want to see a grown man take on the establishment? Watch this show.

Want to be motivated to eat whole delicious foods? Watch this show.

Jamie Oliver is amazing on this show. I cannot get enough of it. He is trying to get into the LA school system and change the food offerings to the kids of the city, and the school board has locked him out. He turns to some guerrilla style campaigning and it is awesome!!!

I can't wait to find out if he can transform the school.

The show is on ABC but you can also find it on HULU.

Check it out.

Rain

It rained, finally. We have been in a severe drought. The last time it rained here was back in November. We have been praying and hoping for rain for months. With all the wild fires and the heat, we have been is desperate need of rain. We need it to rain every day for about 3 weeks in order to get caught up. We are in water restrictions and rationing already. The aquifer is low, low, low.

Last Thursday, about 9 a.m. the sky darkened, it was literally pitch black, and the sky opened up and it rained, hailed, thundered, and lightning(is that a word???) for about an hour. It slowed down, and a soft rain fell for the rest of the day.

Coming from someone who loves sunshine, I know how bad we need the rain, but we praise God for what He gave us.

The perfect pair

My main man these days while my husband is out of town. He is awesome! He is my perfect dog. He plays, he sleeps in my bed, and keeps me company when no one is around.

The best thing about him--he loves to run!!

He is the perfect running partner for me.

He never gets tired.

He is faster than me.

He never makes me feel bad about skipping a run(as if he could???).

He is always happy to run.

He understands when I need to run more than once a day.

He is just happy to be on the leash.Pretty much- he is the perfect running partner for me!
