Friday Confession, Dental Edition

Happy Friday y'all. I hope that everyone is gearing up for a great long weekend.

This week, I had a dentist appointment, and I spent a lot of time this week thinking about this appointment and preparing for it. For some reason, I fixated on this one dentist appointment, and wanted to prepare well. (I really don't know why). Given how much thought I put into it, I was hyper excited, overly nice, and very chatty when I got in the chair.

1. I asked about the suction wand etiquette.  As the hygienist was cleaning my teeth, she would do some work, then stick the suction wand in my mouth and told me to close. I really like that suction thing. Apparently, I held onto it a little too long, and the hygienist kept saying "ok, let go please." That lead to me asking how long I was allowed to keep it in my mouth, and if there was proper etiquette that I did not know about.

2.I brushed my teeth for an hour the night before the dentist. And another 45 minutes before my appointment. She could tell, and apparently, one should not brush their teeth for nearly 2 hours in a 24 hour period. Busted.

3. I freaking quoted Michael Scott again, and yet again, she did not get the quote. She asked if I have been flossing, and I replied "Yes, I did, and there was blood everywhere, but I did it." She stopped cleaning my teeth, and went into a diatribe about how if I was bleeding when flossing that was a huge deal and we really needed to spend some time figuring out what to do about it. I had to interrupt her and let her know that I was quoting Michael from The Office. She was not a fan of the show.

Thats it team, fess up.

Have a great long weekend!
